Terms & conditions
Last updated: 20 July 2026 · Privacy & cookies
These terms govern your use of Hair We Cut — the website, the apps, and everything on them. By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to them. They’re written in plain English on purpose; if anything is unclear, ask us at hello@hairwecut.com.
1. What Hair We Cut is
Hair We Cut is a marketplace. Appointments are provided by independent barbershops and salons (“partners”), products are sold by Hair We Cut and approved sellers, Spaces listings are posted by their owners, and jobs are posted by employers. When you book a cut, your contract for that service is with the shop; our job is to make finding, booking and paying for it excellent.
2. Your account
- You must be 16 or older and give accurate details.
- Your account is yours — keep access to your email secure, and don’t share sign-in codes with anyone.
- We may suspend accounts used for fraud, abuse, fake reviews, or anything unlawful.
3. Bookings
- Book honestly. If you can’t make it, cancel in good time so the chair can go to someone else — repeated no-shows may limit your ability to book.
- Prices and durations are set by each shop and shown before you confirm.
- Payment for appointments is currently taken in person at the shop. When in-app payment launches, these terms will be updated first.
- If something goes wrong with an appointment, tell the shop through Messages first — most things are fixed fastest there. We step in where a partner falls short of our standards.
4. Marketplace & orders
- Product listings describe what you’ll receive; delivery details are confirmed at checkout.
- Product card payments are processed by Stripe. An order is confirmed only after Stripe verifies successful payment.
- You have the consumer rights UK law gives you — including, for most products, the right to cancel within 14 days of delivery and a remedy for faulty goods. Contact hello@hairwecut.com to start a return.
- Spaces listings (chairs to rent, businesses for sale) are introductions only — any resulting agreement is directly between you and the lister. Verify everything important yourself before committing.
5. Jobs portal
- Job posts and applications must be genuine and lawful (including compliance with employment and right-to-work law, which is the employer’s responsibility).
- Candidate profiles are visible to employers when you enable them; you can switch this off any time.
6. Reviews & content
- Reviews must reflect real experiences. No fake, paid-for, or retaliatory reviews — we remove them and may remove the accounts behind them.
- Content you post (reviews, messages, listings, profiles) must be yours to post and must not be abusive, discriminatory or unlawful. You give us a licence to display it on the platform — that’s what it’s for.
7. Partners
Partner shops are vetted before joining and must maintain our partner standards — including accurate listings, honoured bookings, professional conduct and any licences or insurance their trade requires. Partner product selling is not available at launch; Hair We Cut manages the initial product range. We may suspend or remove partners who fall short.
8. Our responsibility
We run the platform with care and skill, and nothing in these terms removes rights the law gives you. But we don’t control independent shops, sellers, listers or employers, and we’re not liable for their acts or omissions, or for losses that don’t flow naturally from something we got wrong. The platform is provided “as is” during our launch period and may evolve quickly.
9. Changes & the legal bits
- We may update these terms as the platform grows; material changes will be flagged on this page (and by email where they matter).
- These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction.
- If one clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still stand.
Questions, problems, or something we should know about a shop or listing: hello@hairwecut.com. We read everything.
