Hair We Cut (“we”, “us”) is a premium men’s grooming marketplace operated from the United Kingdom. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the rights you have over it — written to be read, not skimmed past.

What we collect

We collect what the platform needs to work — nothing more. We do not buy data about you, and we do not track you around the internet.

How we use it

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. Shops only ever see what they need to serve you: your name, your booking or order, and the messages you send them.

Where it lives

Your data is stored in access-controlled databases with our infrastructure provider, Supabase. Sign-in emails are delivered through our authentication provider. The website is hosted on Vercel, and product card payments are processed by Stripe. Each processes data on our instructions under their own security and data-processing commitments.

Appointment payments are currently settled in person at the shop. Product orders are paid through Stripe Checkout; card details are entered with Stripe and are not stored on our servers.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account, so your history works for you. Delete your account and we delete your personal data, keeping only what UK law requires us to retain (for example, basic records of completed orders) for the statutory period.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to: show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or hand you a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@hairwecut.com and we’ll action it promptly — no forms, no run-around. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Cookies

We use essential cookies only — the ones that keep you signed in and keep the platform secure. That’s it. No advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, no analytics cookies that follow you around. Because we only use strictly necessary cookies, UK law doesn’t require us to interrupt you with a consent banner — one of the small pleasures of using Hair We Cut. If we ever introduce non-essential cookies, we’ll ask for your consent first and update this page.

Children

Hair We Cut is not directed at children. You must be 16 or older to create an account. Under-16s are welcome in our partner barbershops’ chairs — with a parent or guardian making the booking.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the date at the top and, where the change matters, tell you by email. Questions any time: hello@hairwecut.com.
